Responsibilities For The Assistant Controller
- Conduct inventory audits and perform cycle counts to ensure data accuracy.
- Manage the month-end close process, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.
- Support the annual budgeting and forecasting processes.
- Oversee day-to-day accounting operations, ensuring adherence to established procedures.
- Generate detailed financial reports for upper management to support strategic decision-making.
- Manage existing accounting team under the oversight of the Controller, ensuring all accounting and month end financial reporting are accurate
- Assist with process improvement suggestions to help drive operational efficiency
- Minimum 4 years of relevant accounting experience in manufacturing
- Bachelors degree in Business, Accounting or Finance, MBA or CPA is a plus but not required
- Experience working with ERP systems similar to SAP, Oracle, PeopleSoft, NetSuite or similar
- Advanced Excel experience is required
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, projects and assist accounting team with questions
- Strong interpersonal skills with a willingness to learn
