Key Responsibilities For The Controller Position
- Financial Integrity: Ensure adherence to internal accounting controls to maintain financial security.
- Accounting Operations: Manage daily accounting activities for the business, including accounts payable/receivable oversight and general ledger reviews.
- Perform thorough reviews of balance sheet and income statement accounts, including reconciliations, correcting entries, accruals, and deferrals.
- Directly supervise and mentor one AR/AP accountant.
- Prepare weekly cash flow projections and the monthly reporting package.
- Oversee month-end close processes and support the preparation of financial statements.
- Collaborate with auditors, providing documentation and explanations for internal and external audit requests.
- Manage revenue schedules across multiple contracts.
- Perform ad hoc financial analysis to support business decisions.
- Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or equivalent experience.
- 5-7 years of relevant manufacturing accounting experience, with prior supervisory responsibilities.
- Proficiency with ERP systems and advanced Microsoft Excel skills required.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams and a collaborative environment.
