Key Responsibilities
- Conduct on-site engagements to examine financial and operational records, focusing on collateral assets such as accounts receivable, inventory, and other secured assets.
- Review and analyze financial data, including accounts payable, tax filings, insurance records, cash flow, and financial statements, to assess collateral adequacy and identify potential risks.
- Perform detailed testing procedures to validate financial data and ensure compliance with established agreements.
- Evaluate accounting system controls and data integrity to identify weaknesses and recommend improvements.
- Ensure that collateral reporting and management align with contractual terms and conditions.
- Prepare clear and concise reports summarizing audit findings, identifying areas of risk, and making actionable recommendations.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of financial auditing standards and develop professionally through ongoing education.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
- 3 years of experience in finance, public accounting, or banking.
- Strong background in asset-backed finance or secured lending.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and Word; familiarity with PowerPoint is a plus.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen eye for detail.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote environment.
- Knowledge of financial statements, balance sheets, and GAAP principles is helpful.
