We are looking for a highly organized and detail-driven Accounting Specialist to support our finance team. This role is responsible for managing key accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll processing, and administrative tasks. The ideal candidate will have experience handling financial reconciliations, payroll tax compliance, and expense tracking while ensuring accuracy and adherence to accounting standards.

- Set up and manage vendor accounts.
- Process invoices and payments.
- Review and reconcile expense reports.
- Ensure accurate reconciliation of invoicing records.
- Generate and issue customer invoices while monitoring payment collections.
- Maintain accurate billing records and distribute statements.
- Prepare and update weekly billing worksheets.
- Record and reconcile journal entries related to unbilled revenue, deferred revenue, and general revenue accounts.
- Track employee timecards and expenses for payroll processing.
- Process bi-weekly payroll for employees, along with weekly payrolls as needed.
- Validate payroll journal entries for proper general ledger coding.
- Maintain and track supplemental employee payments.
- Calculate and reconcile payroll-related accruals.
- Ensure payroll tax compliance and oversee related filings.
- Process commission payments and calculate quarterly bonuses.
- Reconcile employee benefits invoices.
- Assist with worker’s compensation audits and payroll reporting for regulatory agencies.
- Uphold payroll policies and confidentiality standards.
- Handle additional tasks as assigned to support the finance team.
- 2 years of experience in accounting, payroll processing, or financial reconciliation.
- Strong understanding of payroll, accounts payable, and accounts receivable functions.
- Proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
- Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and accuracy.
- Ability to multitask and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience with NetSuite is a plus.
