Senior Finance/Accounting Consultant

A fast-growing technology company located north of Boston is seeking a seasoned finance and accounting consultant to lead U.S. financial operations and support strategic initiatives. This position plays a critical role in driving visibility across financial performance, compliance, and decision-making processes. The firm operates globally with manufacturing and technical teams across multiple locations.

Following an internal reorganization, this role was created to unify and elevate finance and accounting responsibilities in the U.S. business unit.

Key Responsibilities

• Own financial oversight for U.S. operations including monthly closes and forecasting
• Drive preparation and review of P&L statements, financial dashboards, and variance analyses
• Collaborate with leadership on annual planning and multi-year budgeting
• Provide support for pricing models, cost strategies, and project-based estimates
• Ensure compliance with federal contract standards and cost tracking systems
• Maintain and optimize ERP reporting (NetSuite/Oracle)
• Prepare reports on gross margin, bill of materials, and project profitability
• Support audit preparation and maintain internal financial controls
• Generate forward-looking financial models to support growth and strategic planning
• Act as a liaison with global finance leadership to ensure cross-border alignment
• Submit required federal reporting and maintain timekeeping compliance for government work
  
  

Ideal Background

• Direct experience working with government contracts is preferred
• Strong skills with Power BI dashboards and analytics is a must have
• Experience with NetSuite or Oracle ERP systems
• Ability to balance both strategic FP&A and technical accounting tasks
