VP of Finance

KBW Financial Staffing and Recruiting is working with a manufacturer in Cambridge, MA who is searching for a VP of Finance to take ownership of all accounting and finance operations for the organization.

The key to this role is having recent experience working with government DoD contracts. The VP of Finance will need to be very hands on with accounting and finance and lead strategy, reporting, and company initiatives.

Preferred industries, engineering, manufacturing, defense contracting with government contracts. This is a hybrid, 2 days in office required, with flexibility.

The responsibilities for the VP of Finance will include but will not be limited to:

• Be responsible for leading all timely reporting for DoD contracts and ensure compliance.
• Be a resource for accounting issues, establishing policies and procedures and responding to audits from outside agencies
• review the financial reporting and create/improve budget processes, forecasting and value added reporting for overall corporate initiatives and projects.
• Take ownership of and drive the close process, produce accurate value added financial statements.
• Internal controls, process improvements, tax and risk, treasury and audit
• Be the primary liaison with government entities to secure funding.
  
  

The ideal candidate for the VP of Finance must have the following experience:

• Bachelors in Accounting or Finance, MBA, CPA preferred
• MUST have experience with Deltek Costpoint
• Experience with government projects and government contracts
• Strong attention to detail, excellent systems skills, advanced Excel
• Excellent leadership skills ability to present financials, written and verbal communication skills
