WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
We are seeking to hire a Cultural Resource Program Lead with a preferred location in Sheridan,
Wyoming or Bismarck, North Dakota, however placement in other KC Harvey offices or a remote
location may be considered. The position is a full-time, salaried position.
The roles and responsibilities for the position will include developing and managing a cultural resource
program, providing technical expertise in Section 106, tribal consultation, NEPA analysis, and other
applicable cultural resources tasks, along with project management, staff training and mentoring, and
developing client and business relationships. Collaboration with clients and KC Harvey staff will require
occasional travel. Some remote field work and field team site checks may be required.
- Establish and lead a cultural resource program at KC Harvey.
- Establish state and federal archaeology permits for KC Harvey and develop relationships
- Provide regulatory and technical expertise Section 106, tribal consultation, and
- Advise clients and project managers on cultural resource management approaches and
- Lead multiple resource project teams, managing schedules, budgets, and deliverables
- Provide field oversight of field teams, data analysis, and reporting.
- Work with other project managers to provide cultural resources permitting and technical
- Develop business relationships and proposals to bring in new projects and clients and
- Supervise cultural staff, as applicable.
Applicants must have:
- Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in archaeology, anthropology, or applicable cultural
- Minimum of 10 years of applicable cultural resource management experience with at
- Meets the Secretary of the Interior’s Professional Qualification Standards as an
- Knowledge of Section 106 regulations, tribal consultation, and NEPA.
- Experience with cultural resources in plains and western states.
- Experience managing staff, budgets, and business development.
- Excellent communication and organization skills, strong technical writing skills, and
- Available for travel to other KC Harvey offices, client offices, and project locations.
- A positive attitude and ability to work well as part of a team.
- A valid driver’s license and clean driving record, with experience driving 4x4 pickup
- A commitment to High Standards in Safety.
- Ability to participate in pre-employment screening.
