Role Overview: KC Pallets Inc. is seeking an experienced and highly motivated HR/Office Manager to oversee administrative operations, payroll, human resources, and employee benefits. This critical role demands exceptional problem-solving skills, proficiency in Paychex and QuickBooks, and a solid understanding of HR regulations. A bachelor’s degree is preferred.
Key Responsibilities:
- Payroll Management: Process accurate and timely payroll using Paychex, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
- Human Resources: Support the Director in managing HR functions, including employee relations, benefits administration, regulatory compliance, and policy implementation.
- Office Administration: Oversee day-to-day office operations, including supply management, facility coordination, and expense monitoring.
- Financial Management: Maintain accurate records of employee benefits and other financial documentation.
- Productivity Oversight: Manage daily operations to ensure tasks are performed efficiently and effectively.
- Team Leadership: Lead and mentor teams, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence.
- Problem-Solving: Identify and resolve issues proactively to ensure seamless office operations and employee satisfaction.
- Strategic Support: Partner with senior management to drive strategic initiatives and achieve company objectives.
- Compliance: Stay up-to-date with labor laws and regulations to ensure compliance and mitigate potential risks.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, or a related field is preferred.
- Experience: A minimum of 5 years of proven experience in office management, payroll, and HR, ideally in manufacturing or a similar industry.
- Technical Skills: Advanced proficiency in ADP, Paychex, QuickBooks, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Leadership Skills: Strong leadership and team management abilities, with a proven track record of motivating teams to achieve operational goals.
- Analytical Abilities: Skilled in analyzing data, identifying trends, and making data-driven decisions to enhance efficiency.
- Problem-Solving: Capable of addressing complex issues, proposing viable solutions, and ensuring effective implementation.

Position Requirements:
- Work Schedule: Based in Schaumburg, IL, with office hours of 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM, Monday through Friday, and rotating Saturdays as needed.
- Availability: Must be available on-call as required.
