Position: Residential Renovation Project Manager
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Residential Renovation Project Manager to oversee residential construction projects. The ideal candidate will excel at coordinating employees, subcontractors, suppliers, and inspectors while ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget.
Key Responsibilities:
- Read and interpret plans, specifications, and change orders to ensure adherence to approved designs.
- Create and update project schedules regularly to meet deadlines.
- Monitor project profitability and provide monthly updates on cost projections.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, ensuring satisfaction and addressing concerns.
- Manage and allocate materials, labor, and subcontractors for each project.
- Inspect job sites to ensure quality work and compliance with standards.
- Proactively solve problems and make decisions to keep projects on track.
- Motivate and lead employees, subcontractors, and suppliers to achieve high performance.
- Maintain cost control over labor, materials, and equipment.
- Stay up to date on industry practices, codes, and standards to drive innovation and efficiency.
- Participate in company planning and strategy meetings as needed.
- Uphold and embody KC’s core values, including quality, honesty, integrity, teamwork, leadership, dependability, and positive communication.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- 3 years of proven success in residential construction project management.
- 5 years of construction experience required.
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent (construction/engineering degree is a plus but not required).
- Valid Driver’s License, vehicle, and auto insurance.
- Must be a US Citizen or lawful Permanent Resident.
- In-depth knowledge of construction practices, processes, codes, and standards.
- Ability to effectively manage teams, subcontractors, and suppliers.
- Proficiency in basic computer skills and ability to learn Construction Management Software.
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and leadership skills.
- Exceptional organizational skills, with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
- High level of attention to detail and customer service focus.
Schedule & Travel:
- Full-time: Monday – Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. (some evening and weekend work possible).
- Local travel required (some out-of-area travel may be necessary).
