Job Responsibilities:

 

  • Process all banking Exceptions on the Core system. Unposted, stop payments items, Stop Payment Suspects, hold items, NSF decisions, check return/Entry Maintenance and ACH returns.
  • Assist customers with online banking registrations, password resets, inquiries, troubleshooting and bill payments. Help business customers with Cash Management. Maintains the registration usage process to keep information within our guidelines.
  • Approve and process Mobile Deposits.     
  • Processes Garnishments, Tax Levies, Stop Payments, Subpoena Research, SSI Verifications,  Closed Account Maintenance.
  • Monitor and close accounts in overdraft.  Send closing letters and maintenance accounts for closing. 
  • Perform customer research and help reconcile customer accounts.
  • Coordinates internal and external customer services activities related to the bookkeeping support functions including balances, reconciliation, NSFs, return items, collection items, bank credit cards, ACH, electronic banking services, wires, cash management, fraud, etc. Performs other analytical and bookkeeping/operating support functions as needed.   
  • Open and close variety of accounts including checking, savings, certificates, IRAs  and safe deposit boxes
  • Serve as a backup to Operations
  • Serve as a backup teller as needed. Will be included in the Saturday teller rotation.
  • Update customer information files i.e. change of address, phone number while following bank protocol
  • Possess knowledge of bank products and services and identify opportunities to offer them to customers including: ATM & Debit Cards, Internet Banking
  • Answer questions on how products operate or direct customers to the appropriate department to receive service.
  • Ensure only authorized individuals are allowed access to account information or safe deposit boxes
  • Collect necessary information from customers for wire transfers and internal bank transfers
  • Receive, address and follow up on minor account problems, customer issues or complaints
  • Ensure customers are aware of additional Bank products and services through enhanced conversations
  • Perform a variety of clerical duties, tasks and projects as assigned
  • Follow all bank policies and procedures


Qualifications

  • Excellent telephone communication skills and must be able to handle multi-tasking.
  • Proficient in typing, keyboarding, PC, and basic business office equipment.
  • Basic to intermediate computer skills in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook are required.
  • One Year of banking experience is preferred.
  • Professional appearance and good grooming are essential at all times as this candidate will be the first impression of KCB.
  • Minimum of High School Diploma or equivalent required, along with basic understanding of Accounting.


You will enjoy a professional business environment. Work hours are generally during regular, weekday business hours, with a Saturday rotating schedule.

 

Tasks frequently require prolonged, mental, and visual concentration. At times, you may experience pressure or stress as you strive to complete multiple priorities within established deadlines. Some bending, turning, lifting and twisting is required.

 

Schedule: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM Monday-Friday

8:40 AM – 12:15 PM Saturday

Schedule may vary with business needs.
