What are the responsibilities and job description for the Bookkeeper position at ProHome?
- Associate or bachelor’s degree in accounting, Business Administration preferred.
- Solid understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting.
- Knowledge and proficiency of QuickBooks and/or related accounting database required.
- 3 years ‘experience with QuickBooks and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- 3 years of bookkeeping experience.
- High degree of organizational skills as well as accuracy and attention to detail.
- Interpersonal expertise, interacting with team members, directors, CEO, and stakeholders.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently.
- Ability to prioritize duties and projects.
- Knowledge of GAAP accounting preferred.
- General ledger maintenance and account reconciliations.
- Manage Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable processes, ensuring timely payments and collections.
- Perform daily cash deposits.
- Resolve invoice discrepancies with vendors.
- Manage Aging Accounts Receivable and follow-up with customers.
- Accurately record daily transactions in QuickBooks.
- Research and resolve differences in misapplied payments.
- Download credit card transactions on a weekly basis.
- Prepare weekly and monthly reports as requested.
- File and record keeping.
- Maintain updated W-9 files and assist in processing 1099s for vendors at year-end.
- Maintain confidentiality in protecting sensitive information.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Finance.
Pay: $20-24 per hour DOE
