Duties, Responsibilities & Other

 

Key Job Responsibilities:

  • Assist the HR Manager-Benefits with employee leave administration, benefits, retirement plans and responding to general employee inquiries.
  • Coordinate communication strategies for employee benefits, including assisting with open enrollment, drafting announcements, and updating benefits-related content.
  • Assist with maintaining leave plans for various states, ensuring compliance with FMLA, state-specific leave laws, and company policies.
  • Support the data entry, record-keeping, and document management for benefits and HR systems.
  • Assist with the preparation and distribution of HR-related communications and documents.
  • Support the organization and execution of HR events and initiatives.
  • Provide support for a variety of HR functions, processes and programs to include, but not limited to, the following: generation of offer letters, maintaining job folders as well as assist in the pre-employment drug screening and background checks (including invoices) as needed.
  • Assist with the maintenance of I-9 documentation, voluntary self-ID forms, and reporting and filing as needed.
  • Share responsibility for incoming and outgoing department mail on a daily basis as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of 1 to 3 years of related experience.
  • Pre-employment drug screening is a condition of employment.
  • Background and motor vehicle checks may be required based upon position.
