KCMR is a non-commercial Christian Radio station with Easy-listening, Inspirational music broadcast in stereo 24 / 7, including hourly news and weather reports. KCMR is streamed for our worldwide listeners.
KCMR is the only listener-supported, locally owned and operated radio station in Mason City, Iowa. The Development Director supplements financial support by securing underwriters for music, programs, and News / weather reports.
Qualifications
- Securing new underwriting and sponsorships for Inspiration 97.9 KCMR FM radio
- Servicing and renewing existing business underwriting and business sponsorship accounts
- Keeping accurate records of all accounts
- Writing and producing business underwriting and business sponsorship spots
- Coordinating production with station personnel
- Making sure all underwriting / sponsorships run as directed
- Following Federal Communications Commission (FCC) rules and station guidelines for underwriting and sponsorships
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strategic thinking and planning skills
- Knowledge of the non-profit sector and fundraising best practices
- Other responsibilities needed or assigned by the General Manager
