WKCTC is seeking an instructor to educate in both theory and hands on practices. Candidate will need a strong knowledge of HVAC electricity, refrigeration, heat load, and duct design.
Job Duties
Teaching responsibilities include classroom and campus laboratory instruction in the area of air conditioning technology. An Air Conditioning Technology Instructor teaches courses in basic HVAC electrical and electronics, refrigeration, heat load, duct design, heating and humidification, cooling and humidification, and commercial HVAC systems. Instruction will focus on incorporating hands-on training and assessments to prepare students for careers in the field. Maintaining a safe and well-equipped learning environment is essential. Course content must align with industry standards and workforce needs. Other responsibilities include division and college committee assignments, student advising, community service and professional development activities.
Minimum Qualifications
Associate degree in Air Conditioning Technology or related field, with 4 years of related work experience or bachelor's in a related technical field and 2 years of work experience.
Preferred Qualifications
Two years teaching experience is preferred.
