Responsible for teaching a variety of Art courses, both in-person and online, working collaboratively with faculty to foster an engaging experience for students in the classroom and on campus.
Job Duties
Job duties include classroom/lab instruction in the areas of ceramics, sculpture, 3-D design, as well as art appreciation courses. Other duties include general maintenance and supervision of 3-D studio facilities and the ordering of materials for classroom/lab instruction. Faculty responsibilities also include student advising, service on college committees, community service, and participation in professional development activities.
Minimum Qualifications
Masters of Fine Arts degree, with an emphasis in ceramics and sculpture.
Preferred Qualifications
Versatility with 3-D mediums, including ceramics and various sculptural materials.
Experience teaching foundational art courses, as well as experience teaching art appreciation in-person and online.
Additional Skills Requested
Experience with recruiting and working with community partners.
Willingness to teach college success courses, outside fine arts discipline, should the need arise.
