Bulk Unloader Operator (Day Shift Alternating Schedule)
Responsible for coordinating the day-to-day activities of the Bulk Unloading Team including Unloading, Storage, Material Handling, Delays, and Demurrage Charges Justification and Inventory Accuracy of the Bulk Unloading stations and tanks. Administer resources and Budget to meet established objectives, while complying with any Quality, Safety, and Customer audit requirements. Call out maintenance requirements for Unloading Station machinery/equipment and escalate when needed.
Responsibilities:
Guarantee the integrity of all the goods that are unloaded through and in/out of the Bulk Unloading stations.
Report to the Direct Manager all issues related to health, safety, and environment. (Examples: Chemical and/or Liquid Spills, leaks in machinery/equipment, Fire risks, Integrity of Unloading Stations/Catwalks, etc.).
Plan and coordinate all operative resources of the Bulk Unloading Stations (Staff & Machinery).
Control and administer resources in order to guarantee the inventory accuracy of the whole site.
Knowledge of the Department Budget in order to administer resources effectively.
Lead the team to help with Inventory Accuracy efforts to analyze root causes of discrepancies.
Promote a 5S & Continuous Improvement culture.
Communicate and follow up with the team on all topics related to achieving department and site goals.
Experience 5 year’s experience in:
Supervising Logistics
Production Control
Managing People
Work Instruction Generation
Education:
University degree in Administration, Economics, Engineering, Supply Chain or Statistics
Specific Knowledge:
Knowledge or certification (preferably) in Lean Manufacturing tools
Project Management participation as a member of the delivery team.
Proven record on hiring and training employees
