What are the responsibilities and job description for the Personal Property Tax Consultant position at KEA?
We have an immediate opening for a Personal Property Tax Consultant whose primary role will be to works with clients and internal teams to adhere to jurisdictional requirements for personal property tax compliance.
The role is based in Rockwall, TX- 10 miles east of Dallas, Texas. The ideal candidate is a technical, team-oriented, personable individual that can work in an extremely fast-paced environment under deadlines.

Role:
- Prepare personal property tax returns/renditions, filings, and reconciliation of assets, financials, and databases for assigned clients.
- Ensure all applicable returns/renditions are processed and mailed in a timely manner.
- Review of personal property tax assessments, filing/handling assessment protests and handling audits.
- Responds to client inquiries and requests from tax authorities.
- Works with taxing authorities to understand and verify calculations, filing methodologies, and completing detailed calculations
- Reviews documentation and research issues.
- Works with raw data to complete calculations.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in real estate, accounting, finance, economics, mathematics or business
- 3-5 Years of Consulting experience in the Business Personal Property industry or Relevant County Appraisal District Experience
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel
- Detail-oriented
- Demonstrated analytical skills with a strong preference for providing financial analysis support in a consulting environment
- Deadline driven, high degree of energy and enthusiasm
- Strong communication skills, with the proven ability to coherently express complex concepts both orally and in writing
- Travel may be required
