Position: Technical Business Analyst with Digital commerce

Type of role: Contract

Location: Seattle, WA (Hybrid)

Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Technical Business Analyst to join our Digital Commerce Team. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, and excellent problem-solving skills. As a Technical Business Analyst, you will play a crucial role in refining user stories, defining scope and ensuring acceptance criteria are aligned. You will collaborate closely with the Business owner, Principal and Staff Engineers as well as Architects to breakdown complex technical requirements.

· Define the scope and requirements for digital commerce initiatives, ensuring alignment with business goals.

· Own the refinement of user stories, ensuring they are well-defined and ready for estimation.

· Establish clear acceptance criteria for all backlog items to ensure successful implementation.

· Conduct detailed analysis of system integrations, data flows, and technical dependencies.

· Work with cross-functional teams (engineers, product managers, QA, etc.) to design scalable, secure, and efficient platforms and services.

· Develop workflows, use cases, and process diagrams to guide technical teams.

· Ensure solutions align with enterprise architecture, data governance, and compliance standards.

· Develop and maintain technical documentation, including system specifications, and process flows.

· Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in digital commerce and technology.

· Utilizes artifacts such as JIRA, Confluence and Business Process Documentation to facilitate requirement alignment sessions.

Qualifications:

· Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology or a related field.

· Proven experience as a Technical Business Analyst or similar role, preferably in a digital commerce domain.

· Strong understanding of digital commerce platforms, technologies, and trends.

· Proficiency in system analysis and technical documentation

· Technical Acumen: Solid understanding of-

o Cloud Technologies (AWS preferred)

o Web Services & Microservice Architecture

o Kubernetes: Experience with container orchestration and management

o CI/CD (Gitlab preferred)

o Observability

· Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.

· Experience working with agile delivery methodologies.
