Job Opening Due to Staff Promotion!
The Accounts Receiveable Specialist will join a dynamic team of four in our Central Illinois based, national sales and distribution company. In this role you'll use your accounting, administrative, communications and data entry skills to electronically process invoices, manage, report and contact accounts on past due balances. A background in Accounts Payables will enable you to and interact with other team members on tasks that add variety to the job as well. This is an on-site position, with hybrid options as needed.
Key Responsibilities:
- Electronically process customer invoices and payments
- Manage accounts receiveable blances and customer contact
- Communicate with sales team on customer accounts status
- Assist with internal and external account inquiries
- Manage customer credit holds and credit limits
- Perform data entry for receiveable payments
- Prepare weekly Aging Reports and Unposted Fulfillments orders to management
- Analyze credit limits, terms and process credit apps
- Manage and balance petty cash
- Assist Project Accounting in preparation of final settlements
- Cross train for AP backup on misc duties.
What We’re Looking For:
- Minimum 5 years experience working with a team in an office environment with on a broad range of daily accounting activities
- Background in manufacturing, construction or distribution industries preferred and will expedite the training process
- Familiarity with enterprise level, modern ERP systems preferred
- Proficiency in MS Office suite, above average experience with Excel
- Desire and competency working in a high-volume fast-paced business
- Passion for accuracy, efficiency and a desire to learn
- Associates Degree preferred

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 - $24.00 per hour
Expected hours: 32 – 40 per week
