What are the responsibilities and job description for the Finance Operations Specialist position at Kee To Independent Growth, Inc.?
This individual is responsible for printing out and accounting for weekly provider billing sheets. This individual will also look through weekly provider billing sheets to create a transportation claims list. Once the transportation claims list is created the Financial Operations Specialist (FOS) is responsible for entering these claims into Welligent using the invoice section. The FOS is responsible for reviewing weekly MCO payment denials and discussing with the appropriate provider. The FOS is also responsible for keeping track of spreadsheets such as monthly petty cash and transportation mileage. The FOS will Help track and set up UAS’ to ensure clients have them on file without a lapse. This includes reaching out to the primary care doctor to request a script, medication list, and last physical. The FOS will then forward this information to the company who will complete the UAS and request the client be completed in the necessary time frame. This individual is also responsible for assisting in reviewing and storing weekly EMEDNY remittances. The FOS will reconcile SDP slush fund spending monthly as well as reconcile SDP client cash funds monthly to ensure accuracy of SDP department. The FOS will be in constant communication with Finance Manager to ensure job effectiveness.
The FOS will report to the Finance Manager with any questions or concerns:
· will assist the Director of Revenue Management with maintaining files and databases.
· will perform data entry for billing in Welligent and EMEDNY when necessary
· will audit Welligent billing cycles weekly to ensure claims are correct and accounted for when Director is on vacation
· will manage transportation mileage spreadsheet, updating miles and clients as needed
· will maintain professional communication with vendors, customers, peers, and superiors
· will develop, upgrade and manage ongoing spreadsheets for data control
· will be self-motivated in order to accomplish tasks when Director of Revenue Management is working remotely.
· will attend the monthly all staff meeting that is held on the first Wednesday of each month. This is subject to change.
· will complete all necessary agency trainings.
· will check their email daily on working days and will respond to all emails and calls within a 24-hour period.
· will put an auto reply message on their email address when they have time off directing people to contact their supervisor, the Finance Manager.
· must have a valid drivers license and reliable transportation.
· Complete all other duties as assigned.
Persons employed must have at least a high school diploma or GED
