Position: Senior Accountant
Location: Houston, Texas (Full-time, On-site)
Keen Search and Staffing is seeking a Senior Accountant to join our client's team in Houston. This is a dynamic, full-time position with a focus on ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting each month. The Senior Accountant will work closely with team and will collaborate across departments to enhance financial processes and reporting efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support or lead the monthly closing process, including preparation and review of journal entries and account reconciliations.
- Produce monthly consolidated financial statements and supporting documents, such as lease operating statements.
- Analyze financial performance, comparing actuals against budget and performing trend analysis.
- Provide support for audits, including preparation of schedules and detailed analyses.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
- 4 years of relevant accounting experience within E&P upstream (strong understand of upstream O&G).
- Strong understanding of US GAAP and solid analytical and accounting skills.
- A problem-solving mindset focused on delivering solutions.
