What are the responsibilities and job description for the Bookkeeper position at Keenan, Ciccitto & Associates, LLP?
Part-time, approximately 20 hours
This position works very independently and oversees the firm’s overall general accounting functions. This individual requires fundamental general accounting skills.
Responsibilities include:
- Processing Accounts Receivable payments, Trust payments, Billing, Payroll and Tax payments.
- Responsible for maintaining records and payments for 401 K, Health and Dental Insurance, and all other billing on staff and partners – 6 persons including bookkeeper.
- Reconcile monthly statements for the Operating, Payroll and Trust accounts, and compile reports when required.
- Research and assist in resolving billing and collection disputes, identify and resolve discrepancies.
- Research any accounts payable discrepancies or concerns raised by vendors or clients regarding open invoices, error in payments, etc.
- Process Bi-weekly Payroll, Payroll taxes and 401K contributions and loan payments.
- Process Quarterly and End of Year Taxes to assist law firm’s accountant.
- Send out 1099’s for vendors and estates.
- Generate client invoices through Timeslips.
- Prepare W-2’s for employee staff (6 persons).
- Compile Year End data for law firm’s accountant.
- Process credit card payments from clients through LawPay.
- Maintain consistent and active communication with partners and staff.
- Send out delinquent correspondence to clients when applicable.
- Prepare monthly collections reports.
Software Knowledge:
Timeslips: Used for Client billing.
Quick Books: A/R, A/P, Payroll and Taxes
- Microsoft Office (specifically Word and Excel)
Salary : $22 - $25
