The Keene Family YMCA is seeking part-time staff to work in our School-age Childcare Program. In this role you will provide direct supervision to a group of children in a school-age setting, and positive engagement to youth in a safe, nurturing environment. At the Y our focus is on youth development and we strive to nurture the potential of every child in our community.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS :
- Supervises a group of children.
- Implements program activities that are culturally relevant, developmentally appropriate, and consistent with YMCA values.
- Adheres to program standards including safety and cleanliness standards.
- Attends staff meetings, trainings, and special events. (family nights or YMCA events)
- Follows YMCA policies and procedures, including those related to medical and disciplinary situations, child abuse prevention and emergencies.
- Builds and maintains positive, culturally aware relationships with parents, youth participants and other staff.
- Models relationship-building skills in all interactions.
- Builds personal and meaningful relationships with YMCA members, participants, volunteers, and guests while exemplifying the Y's commitment to the four-character values of caring, honesty, respect & responsibility.
- Responds to all member and community inquiries in a timely manner.
