Biochemistry
The Biology Department at Keene State College invites applications for an adjunct instructor to teach Biochemistry (BIO-370) for the Fall 2025 semester. Instruction will be fully in person, with classes running from 8/25/25-12/5/25. There is some flexibility with respect to the days of the week and times the course will be taught. This is a part-time, non-benefitted position.
Course Description: Biochemistry (BIO-370)
In-depth survey of biochemical topics including the structure and function of proteins, enzyme action and kinetics, carbohydrates, lipids, and an introduction to major metabolic pathways and their regulation.
The successful applicant will have support from departmental staff in running lab activities. The Biology Department welcomes applicants with the potential to teach other courses in our curriculum in future semesters on an as-needed basis.
Our students come from diverse socio-economic and educational backgrounds, with a high percentage of first-generation college students. By the time Keene State College students complete their undergraduate experience, they develop critical thinking, creative inquiry, intercultural competence, civic engagement, and commitments to well-being and to sustainability that will serve them as active citizens and lifelong learners. Qualifications: Master’s degree in relevant subject area
Preferred Qualifications: Ph.D. in relevant subject area; prior college teaching experience.
