Industrial Hygienist

Provide New Hampshire employers (particularly small businesses) with consultative services to explain and interpret OSHA standards and industrial hygiene protocols, advise on policy/protocol development, and identify solutions for workplace health hazards.

Duties/Responsibilities

Consultation

• Conducting industrial hygiene assessments, such as air sampling, noise monitoring, and chemical exposure evaluations, to assess and mitigate workplace health risks.
• These duties include travel to and from employer worksites and facilities.
  
  

Training

• Design, develop, and deliver training regarding safety topics/issues.
  
  

Report Generation

• Provide accurate accounting of issues and remedies and data regarding consultant determinations.
  
  

Required Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in environmental health and safety or related discipline and at least 3 years of experience in Industrial Hygiene practices.
• Effective oral and written communications skills to interact and communicate environmental health and safety procedures to small and medium size business in New Hampshire.
• Ability to work effectively with managers, supervisors, and employees under stressful conditions.
• Ability to respond promptly and in-person to client locations throughout New Hampshire that require environmental health and safety services.
• Ability to wear and use appropriate protective equipment as necessary.
• Sufficient strength and physical dexterity to perform duties and responsibilities of program.
• Knowledge of laws concerning workplace environmental, health and safety.
  
  

Preferred Qualifications

• Masters and 5 years of related experience preferred.
