What are the responsibilities and job description for the Dining Room Server position at Keeneland Association Inc?
Ensures guests have a memorable dining room experience by providing food service during meals in a polite and effective manner. Fine dining servers may be located in one of our public dining rooms (Equestrian, Phoenix, Lafayette, Lexington/Kentucky), the Clubhouse private dining or the Corporate Box Suites. Must be available between 9:30am and 7pm.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Set and maintain tables, glasses and small wares.
Ensure proper delivery of food orders from kitchen to table.
Communicate with kitchen staff regarding menu questions, length of wait, availability and special requests/dietary restrictions.
Check with patrons to ensure food and beverage satisfaction.
Operate and utilize Micros point-of-sale system.
Assist with room, table and seating preparations and clean up.
Qualifications - External
At least one to two years experience in a server position.
Must be able to work at a rapid pace while maintaining attention to detail.
Ability to provide a high level of customer service to both patrons and other employees.
Must be knowledgeable in fine dining service standards.
CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
A Kentucky Race Horsing Commission license is required for all track workers.
A Food Handlers Certificate is required for all employees working with food and beverages.
