The Camera Quality Inspection Technician is responsible for testing and assessing camera gear to assure working condition or identify defects and to assign an accurate grading for the equipment. This role is an essential part of our value chain, and an on-the-job training program is conducted to teach the essential skills. An apprenticeship program is offered to allow the employee to develop professionally within the Tech Department.
Additional job duties include:
- Cleaning and testing photographic equipment, including digital, 35mm, large and medium format as well as accessories
- Examining lens glass for clarity level and dust, haze, or mold
- Assign grade based on KEH assessment scale and standard operating procedures.
Qualifications:
- Photographic knowledge or curiosity for electronic and mechanical equipment
- Responds well to instructions, both verbally and written
- Willing to accept challenges and learn new things
- Attention to detail and ability to stay focused and on task is a must
- Must exhibit politeness, confidence, tact, patience, and diplomacy while dealing with complex issues.
- Strive for continuous improvement while following SOPs
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
- Must be able to work in the office full time
