We are seeking a Retail Associate to work part-time (up to 30 hours a week); you'll assist customers in selecting the perfect equipment, provide expert knowledge about our products, and help deliver exceptional service that keeps them coming back.
Responsibilities to include the following:
- Provide outstanding customer service by greeting and assisting customers, answering questions, and offering product recommendations tailored to their needs. Deliver customer service that reflects KEH's core values, ensuring every customer feels valued and supported
- Offer personalized product recommendations by understanding customer needs and preferences through insightful conversations.
- Resolve customer concerns by actively listening, identifying the root cause, and providing clear, effective solutions that exceed expectations.
- Leverage internal systems to quickly research and address customer inquiries, delivering timely and accurate responses.
- Manage customer requests to view items, ensuring a smooth and efficient process that enhances their shopping experience.
- Guide customers through our digital platforms, helping them navigate with ease and making their experience seamless and enjoyable.
- Maintain a consistently positive, empathetic, and professional demeanor, creating lasting impressions with every customer interaction.
- Follow KEH’s policies and procedures to ensure compliance and uphold the integrity of the brand in every action.
- Stay up-to-date with product details, features, and benefits to effectively communicate with customers and help them make informed purchasing decisions.
- Meet or exceed individual and team sales targets by actively engaging customers, promoting products, and upselling where appropriate.
- Maintain a visually appealing store by organizing products, ensuring shelves are stocked, and displays are neat and attractive.
- Build strong, lasting customer relationships by offering a personalized experience and following up to ensure satisfaction.
- Ensure that the store is clean, safe, and organized, always adhering to company health and safety guidelines.
- Participate in training sessions to develop product knowledge, sales techniques, and customer service skills.
Qualifications and Education Requirements:
- Customer-focused attitude with a desire to provide outstanding service
- Ability to quickly build rapport with customers and positively contribute to the internal team
- Excellent verbal & listening skills with the ability to identify customer's camera gear needs and provide suggestions based on customer input
- Excellent attention to detail and understanding of KEH’s procedures and policies
- Commitment to ensuring success with all tasks, duties, and projects
- Maintain a positive, empathetic, and professional attitude toward customers always
- Excellent problem-solving and conflict-resolution skills
- Responds well to challenging inquiries and situations
- Quality focused
- Has a strong interest in mechanical and technological interests and is eager to learn about photography gear
- At least two years working in Customer Experience and/or Sales
- While the shifts required will vary, Saturday availability is a requirement.
- High school diploma or equivalent required
