Role Description
We are currently in search of a self-motivated and detail-oriented candidate to work as General Labor in the Fabrication Department. The General Labor position is responsible for various tasks in the fabrication shop, including material handling, machine operation support, and general shop maintenance. The successful candidate is eager to learn, willing to be trained, and has an excellent attendance record. While experience is a huge advantage, we will consider hiring and training someone interested and committed to hard work. We are looking for the right person to fill these positions and become part of the Keiser team. Candidates must be capable of handling basic shop tools and must practice general shop safety.

This position is a temp-to-hire using a third-party agency. Employees are evaluated after 90 days and offered a position with the company if they are meeting expectations.
Job Requirements
- Operate basic tools and shop equipment under supervision
- Move, stack, store, and transfer materials and supplies around the shop and storage areas
- Assist with the preparation, cutting, grinding, and finishing of metal or other fabrication materials
- Help machine operators, welders, and fabricators with setup and cleanup
- Load and unload raw materials and finished products from machines and workstations
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, including sweeping, disposing of scrap materials, and ensuring tools are in their proper places
- Understand the company's high standards of cosmetic workmanship
- Follow all safety guidelines and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE)
- Support other shop team members by completing supervisor-assigned duties
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Previous experience in a manufacturing or fabrication shop is a plus but not required
- Basic mechanical aptitude and familiarity with shop tools
- Knowledge of welding and fabrication is an added advantage
- Certification in specific skill areas, such as welding or precision sheet metal work
WORK ENVIRONMENT
- Fast-paced environment with others relying on completion of tasks
- Standing for 8 hours a day, breaks limited to scheduled meals and rest periods
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds without assistance
- Hot environment without AC, fans are available in some areas of the building
- Dress code is casual: safety-toed work boots required, no tank tops, no shorts
- All employees are required to wear eye protection while in the shop
- Employees are encouraged to learn various areas of the department to stay engaged and be more well-rounded
EDUCATION
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Training through an apprenticeship or technical school is a plus
SCHEDULE
- 8-hour shift, hours TBD (both AM and PM shifts available)
- Monday through Friday, some Saturdays required based on workload
COMPENSATION
- Non-Exempt position; Pay range: $16.50 - $18.50 hourly
- Final compensation will be determined and based on experience
- This range is a good faith estimate of the expected salary for this position, based on a wide range of factors including qualifications, experience and training, operational and business needs, and other considerations permitted by law
