Concrete Finisher/Laborer

Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Concrete Finisher to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in concrete finishing techniques and possess the ability to work effectively in various construction environments. This role involves preparing, pouring, and finishing concrete surfaces, ensuring high-quality standards are met for both residential and commercial projects.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and set up work areas for concrete pouring, including forms and reinforcement materials.
• Mix, pour, and spread concrete according to specifications.
• Use tools such as trowels, floats, and screeds to finish surfaces to desired smoothness and texture.
• Ensure proper curing of concrete to achieve optimal strength and durability.
• Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently and within deadlines.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment by following safety protocols and guidelines.
• Assist in the installation of concrete structures, including sidewalks, driveways, patios, and foundations.

Skills

• Proficient in concrete finishing techniques with a strong attention to detail.
• Experience in heavy equipment operation is a plus.
• Mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot equipment issues as they arise.
• Ability to perform frame carpentry and trim carpentry tasks as needed.
• Skills in restoring and renovating existing concrete structures are advantageous.
• Commercial driving experience is beneficial for transporting materials when necessary.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.00 - $30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 – 50 per week
