Join Our Team as a Heavy-Duty Parts Associate!
This position fulfills parts orders for Exit 40 customers and the Service Department. It requires a high degree of detail and accuracy and should be fulfilled by someone with strong attention to detail and a passion for customer service and the thrill of searching for parts.
Shift: Monday - Friday 7am-3:30pm and 8:30am-5pm available
Hourly rate: $18.00-$23.00 based on experience
Job Purpose:
The Parts Associate is expected to provide support to customers and the Shop by retrieving parts from the stockroom and ordering parts for stock inventories. As the individual gains experience, the Parts Associate can place orders for basic Special-Order Parts or consult with a Senior Parts Associate for more advanced Special-Order Parts. Additionally, the Parts Associate will perform physical inventories to help maintain inventory cycle counts. The position requires adherence to departmental processes and procedures for a successful team.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Window Activities:
- Provide an interface for requests about parts kept in inventory.
- Provide status updates for Special-Order Parts requests.
- Perform warranty and core returns.
- Contact vendors for delivery status updates.
- Greet delivery drivers and sign receipts for vendor packages.
- Enter, receive, and close purchase orders.
- Update or credit parts on unit repair orders.
- Maintain accurate records of daily transactions.
Inventory Controls:
- Locate and gather parts for mechanics or window customers.
- Perform inventory cycle counts.
- Create invoices for external customer part transactions.
- Add new parts to the current system and appropriate inventories.
- Transfer parts between corporate inventory locations.
- Work with vendors for warranty and core returns.
- Place parts in proper stockroom locations.
- Drive to vendor locations to pick up parts, as required.
- Regular attendance and punctuality.
- Proper use of PPE (Personal Protective Equipment).
- Must be able to lift up to 75 lbs.
- Must be able to operate a forklift or be trained and certified.

Qualifications
Required
- Ability to follow directions with attention to detail.
- Valid Driver’s License.
- Ability to pass DOT drug screening and background check.
Preferred
- Experience with Trimble/TMT.
- Experience with Microsoft Office.
- Experience in inventory settings.
- Problem solving skills.
- Experience with heavy duty/diesel parts (1 year).
- Experience as a parts department team member or a service technician.
Requirements:
- Post offer testing required.
