Position: Receiving Clerk

Part-Time with potential to grow to Full-Time, $22/hour

Preferred candidates will have one to two years of receiving experience, full availability, a proven employment history, strong organizational, mathematical and communication skills with English comprehension. Experience in a food service role is preferred.
Variable part time Monday Saturday shifts with early morning starts. This position has the potential to grow to full time pending business growth

- Strong sense of urgency and ability to prioritize

POSITION SUMMARY:
The Receiving/Warehouse person is co-responsible for the receiving, internal delivery and proper storage of all incoming goods. In addition, the Receiving/Warehouse person will participate & oversee staff in re-stocking coolers & freezers in relation to bar needs, retail/concession needs, & kitchen needs. Taking care of the maintenance & cleanliness of all storage & foodservice dock areas would be a primary concern for the Receiving/Warehouse person when performing daily tasks. An individual in this position will clearly and accurately communicate with KCI staff, MCC staff and vendors on product deliveries and or pick-ups.
PAY AND UNION STATUS: Hourly, Non-union
JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Receive all incoming goods for catering and general purpose needs to include food, paper goods, chemicals, beverage, linens, uniforms, equipment, and supplies. (Co- responsible)
- Assist in the storage of all above mentioned incoming goods in an orderly and appropriate manner as directed, checking & rotating stock--FIRST IN-FIRST OUT on a daily basis. (rotation management)
- Participate & oversee the re-stocking of Bar needs, Retail needs & Kitchen needs.
- Assist in the cleaning of all food/chemical storage rooms, coolers, and freezers as directed on a daily to weekly basis.
- Assist in keeping the dock areas neat, clean, and organized.
- Assist purchasing personnel when needed by driving the company vehicle to run will call deliveries or other errands.
- Assist in taking quarterly inventories.
- Have the physical ability to lift 70 lbs from floor to approximately 4 feet, (with assistance if needed) and ability to lift up to 50 lbs to shoulder height and/or above, with assistance if needed (infrequently).
- Assist all other co-workers in locating product or re-storing unused and leftover products.
- Aid in any department or function as directed, including, but not limited to kitchen food prep & dishing, when business warrants.
PREREQUISITES:
Availability: Available to work variable weekly schedule Monday through Saturday.
Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
Licenses: Valid drivers license with good driving record.
Forklift certified or ability to become forklift certified.
Experience: Previous receiving experience with foodservice experience preferred.
Mathematical aptitude required; prefer minimal computer skills.
Good communication skills with English comprehension.
