Residence Manager
The Residence Manager is responsible to oversee daily shift operations, ensure accomplishment of program-wide goals, coordinate the scheduling of staff, complete all records and reports, facilitate on-site orientation and training, and monitor and provide supervisory oversight to the overall operations of the program. Participate in Agency activities under the supervision of the Assistant Director.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Activities include but are not limited to the following:
- Ensure the health, safety, and well-being of individuals residing in the home.
- Ensure assigned sites and vehicles meet maintenance, safety, and cleanliness standards.
- Participate in the development, communication, and implementation of Life Plans and Staff Action Plans
- Ensure proper staffing levels are maintained 24/7.
- Maintain knowledge of the needs, status and preferences of individuals supported at the site; monitor their ongoing eligibility for services.
- Oversee development and implementation of fire safety and evacuation plans at site; promptly update plans to address changes in the person’s needs, circumstances, and physical condition.
- Problem solves daily shift issues and/or conflicts as part of site leadership team.
- Administer and/or ensure the administration of medications and other related services to the people we support are as prescribed and under the clinical supervision of an RN.
- Maintain accurate documentation, including incident reports, medical records, and progress notes.
- Conduct regular audits and prepare for state and agency inspections.
- Implement and monitor behavior support plans in collaboration with clinical staff.
- Oversee the cleanliness, maintenance, and safety of residence.
- Manage household budgets, including grocery shopping and other necessary expenditures.
- Facilitate skill-building opportunities to enhance independence and daily living skills.
- Advocate for individuals’ rights, preferences, and community inclusion.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor's degree in Human Services, Psychology, Social Work, or a related field preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience working with individuals with I/DD, with at least 1 year in a supervisory role.
- Knowledge of OPWDD regulations and person-centered planning.
- May require day, evening, weekend, and on-call availability.
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple staff and shifts within a residence.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and electronic health record systems (EHR).
- Ability to assist individuals with mobility, transfers, and activities of daily living as needed.
- Maintain professional boundaries and confidentiality.
- Must be able to manage time independently, adhering to all deadlines including unexpected demands for information and/or additional assignments.
- Travel and transport are required. Must have a valid NYS Driver’s License and require reliable transportation.
- This position has regular and substantial unsupervised or unrestricted physical contact with individuals receiving services and is required by law to be fingerprinted for a criminal history record check under OPWDD (Office for People with Developmental Disabilities)
An equivalent combination of education and experience which provides proficiency in the areas of responsibility listed above may be substituted for the above education and experience requirements.

Pay: $60,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
