What are the responsibilities and job description for the Industrial Automation Account Executive position at Kele Companies?
AC Controls (a Kele Company) is in search of an experienced Industrial Automation Account Executive who will be responsible for identifying potential customers and maintaining existing relationships with customers in Southern Georgia and Northern Alabama. The Account Executive is responsible for facilitating the sales solution lifecycle, serving as a liaison between their territory and AC Controls/AC Technical Services, ultimately driving consistent sales growth.
AC Controls has been providing superior products and services since 1960 for process and combustion applications, offering systems integration services, combustion & process control systems, and distribution of industrial instrumentation, controls, and valves to the process and power industries in the southeast.
Essential Responsibilities
- Target customers based on past territory performance, considering yearly sales quota
- Identify potential new customers via cold calling, referrals, trade publications, industry trade shows, etc. and initiate contact with key decision makers to grow business outside of existing customer base and promote AC Controls across varying industries
- Set appointments with potential customers that fall within ideal industry
- Identify additional projects and/or upsells within existing client base
- Identify and document cost savings associated with, but not limited to, equipment conversions, product consolidation and process efficiency gains as recommended
- Develop and maintain relationships with customers and manufacturers
- Function as the point person with regards to contract pricing and terms and conditions, coordinating with accounting and inside sales teams
- Advocate for customer when requesting specific terms and conditions
- Make product solution recommendations and identify areas for product improvements, add-ons, etc.
- Develop and maintain vendor relationships to allow for further account penetration and expansion of sales volume
- Attend AC Controls’ internal product training to ensure ability to diagnose issues; escalate product issues when necessary
- Conduct online research and network via trade organizations
Preferred Qualifications
- Undergraduate/bachelor’s degree
- Minimum of five years of related work experience
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and the ability to learn and use company software
- Thorough knowledge of the industrial automation market, the solutions/services the company can provide, and the company’s competitors
- Technical background in manufacturing, general maintenance, or instrumentation
- Well organized and able to work in a fast paced, deadline-driven environment
- Strong professional written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work in a sales driven, goal orientated capacity
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
