Paralegal

Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Paralegal to join our small but growing law office. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of legal principles and practices, particularly in the areas of family law. This role requires excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently while providing executive administrative support within a law office environment.

Duties

• Manage case files, ensuring all documentation is organized, updated, and accessible.
• Draft pleadings, motions and orders.
• Set matters for hearing while ensuring all parties and attorneys have been noticed and served.
• Utilize legal software for case management, billing, and document management.
• Communicate effectively with clients, witnesses, and other parties involved in legal proceedings.
• Provide administrative support including scheduling appointments, managing calendars, and maintaining office supplies.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Paralegal or in a similar role within a law office environment.
• Strong knowledge of family law and the Texas Rules of Civil Procedure is highly desirable.
• Proficiency in legal research techniques and writing skills.
• Familiarity with ProDoc or similar legal management software is preferred.
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team setting.
• A degree or certification in Paralegal studies or a related field is preferred but not mandatory.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $55,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
