SUMMARY:
Responsible for collecting, analyzing, and interpreting data related to student performance, curriculum effectiveness, and overall educational outcomes. Work with teachers, administrators, and other stakeholders to identify trends, make data-driven decisions, and leverage data to drive improvements and innovations that enhance educational quality.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
Data Analysis, and Evaluation
- Develop a comprehensive and robust data framework that supports a local designation system
through the Teacher Incentive Allotment.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of educational programs and initiatives.
- Provide actionable insights to improve outcomes for students.
- Collect and analyze data related to teacher evaluation, student achievement, and learning
outcomes.
- Develop and maintain databases and data systems.
- Interpret complex data sets and identify trends and patterns.
- Create detailed reports and visualizations to communicate findings.
- Ensure data accuracy and integrity.
- Utilize best practices in educational data analysis.
- Develop predictive models to forecast educational outcomes.
- Assist in the design and implementation of data collection systems.
- Train staff on data analysis tools and techniques.
- Support grant writing and funding proposals with data insights.
- Analyze and prepare reports from local, state, and national assessment data as it relates to
student performance and program and initiative improvement.
- Oversee the access, integration, staging, reporting, and presentation of data from multiple data
systems.
- Attend, and lead as appropriate, training sessions and meetings related to assigned
responsibilities.
Data Systems and Management
- Create systems to improve the efficiency and quality of targeted programs and initiatives.
- Utilize software tools and report writers to query information, extract data, and develop reports from multiple data sources and computer programs.
- Develop and maintain historical student and school data files to analyze and evaluate performance of targeted programs and initiatives.
Policy and Law
- Maintain confidentiality.
- Pursue Professional Development activities for self and assigned staff; ensure that Professional Development activities are aligned with District goals and initiatives and current professional research.
- Comply with all policies, operating procedures, legal requirements, and verbal and written directives.
- Comply with the Professional Code of Ethics and Standard Practices for Texas Educators.
- Follow District safety protocols and emergency procedures.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Education/Certification:
- Must hold a Bachelor’s degree in education, statistics, computer science, instructional technology, mathematics, or related field
Experience:
- Experience in K-12 education, data analysis, statistics, or educational methodologies
- Experience as a project team member (preferred)
SPECIAL KNOWLEGDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES:
- Strong proficiency in data analysis tools, such as SQL, R, Python, and Excel
- Experience with data visualization tools, such as Tableau or Power BI
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong understanding of educational metrics and standards
- Ability to communicate complex data in a clear and concise manner
- Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
