Functions :
Act as Sales Manager of New and Used Sales Departments.
Responsible for New and Used Departments.
Maintain customer enthusiasm.
Relationships :
Reports to : General Manager
Supervises : All Salespeople
Responsibilities and Authority :
General
Maintain and promote customer satisfaction.
Ensure that all customers are met and greeted promptly and directed to sales staff.
Adhere to the established standards for customer treatment.
Build, train, and maintain a sales organization that is aware of customer needs.
Manage and control the non-confrontational sales system.
Any other tasks deemed necessary by Management.
Sales
Insure profitability of the sales department through the sale of vehicles, Finance and Insurance, and other profit centers.
Maintain and supervise the non-confrontational sales process and all sales forms.
Learn and maintain appraisal procedures in a fair and equitable manner that is consistent with dealership policy and in line with competitive practices.
Keep abreast of changes in competition and market conditions.
Learn and maintain complete knowledge of current new and used inventories and availability.
Have complete and thorough knowledge of competitive products.
Set monthly and yearly goals with sales staff.
Maintain adequate floor coverage.
Order all new vehicles in accordance with the market demand and customer need.
Manage both new and used inventory.
Any other tasks deemed necessary by Management.
Confirm all appointments.
Manage and hold sales consultants accountable while they complete their tasks.
Responsible for completing manager tasks in eLeads.
Monitor unanswered emails.
Any other tasks deemed necessary by Management.
Human Resources, Training, and Development
Maintain a consistent adherence to all company policies and procedures.
Conduct regular sales staff meetings.
Responsible for recruitment, hiring, and assist in training in accordance with company policy.
Conduct monthly sales staff reviews.
Always conduct yourself in an ethical and moral fashion.
Any other tasks deemed necessary by Management.
Interdepartmental Relations
Establish and maintain good working relationships with other departments to maintain customer satisfaction.
Prepare for and participate in meetings with management and other department heads.
Assist in the financial services office with client introduction.
Any other tasks deemed necessary by Management.
Requirements
Qualifications
High School diploma or the equivalent. Associate or bachelor's degree preferred. Valid drivers' license and a good driving record. Professional personal appearance. Exceptional communication skills. Must have prior experience in the automobile industry.
Working Conditions
Will work both indoors and outdoors, moving about the dealership lot and closing office to communicate with salespeople and customers. She / he works closely with the used-vehicle department and the F&I department to transport paperwork and discuss sales. Weekend, evening, and holiday hours will be required. May go on test-drives. Will drive company and customer vehicles.
