The Staff Accountant, while regularly working with confidential client and company information, will be responsible for lease administration, processing incoming payments, processing 1099s, and various other accounting functions including but not limited to: completing deposits, journal entries, entering lease information into Yardi, vacating tenants, and reconciling tenant ledgers.
Responsibilities
· Post payments to tenant ledgers. Verify payment amounts and research discrepancies. Report issues to property managers and assist with reconciliation and research of data in tenant ledgers.
· Enter lease brief information into Yardi and create new tenants. Review data recorded in order to accurately bill tenants.
· Process Receipts for all Managed Properties
· Check Commission invoices for Accuracy
· Process Late Fees
· Process monthly charges and send rent rolls to managers
· Calculate monthly management fees and ensure fees are billed in accordance with Management Agreement.
Qualifications
Associates or bachelor’s degree in Accounting or two to three years of related experience is required. Experience with Yardi is preferred. CPA background is a plus.
