SUMMARY:
This position is directly responsible for recruitment, placement, and ongoing support of new hires across all Kelley Williamson Co. operations, including retail, office, and drivers (CDL). The individual will work closely with the HR Manager and Department Heads to meet the company's hiring needs, with a primary focus on retail. Key duties include sourcing candidates, conducting interviews, managing onboarding, training and development, employee relations, compliance with employment regulations, and maintaining a positive work culture. The recruiter acts as a bridge between management and employees to ensure smooth operations and strategic talent management. Additional duties and special projects may also be assigned.
Job Responsibilities to Include:
Your role will involve proactively sourcing, screening, and qualifying candidates to align with the hiring managers' criteria. Key responsibilities include:
Field Engagement with Management:
- Travel within a 90-mile radius of the corporate office at least 3 days per week.
- Support management by assisting with interviews, onboarding, and addressing concerns in an environment where some locations are open 24 hours a day 7 days a week.
- Provide training on hiring best practices, interview techniques, HRIS systems, and general HR functions to all newly hired and promoted managers, along with ongoing training for existing managers.
- Build strong relationships with hiring managers to understand their specific staffing needs and gain trust to better support their teams.
- Gain insight into business challenges and staffing needs by working closely with management.
- Represent the company at job fairs, career days, and community outreach events to promote employment opportunities.
Screening and Presenting Qualified Candidates to Management:
- Review and screen submitted applications and resumes to present qualified candidates to management for position vacancies.
- Guide candidates and hiring managers through the hiring process, ensuring consistent communication and a positive experience
- Prioritize and conduct background checks in compliance with federal and state laws, ensuring timely and thorough completion for all candidates.
- Collaborate with the HR Manager to forecast staffing needs, plan workforce strategies, and support operations with targeted recruitment efforts.
- Utilize creative sourcing methods and build strong candidate relationships to maintain a pool of well-qualified applicants for open positions.
Other Duties:
- Regularly review and update job descriptions to ensure they reflect the most current and relevant information.
- Stay informed of relevant state and federal laws and regulations impacting employment conditions and related issues.
- Ensure compliance with MVR requirements by conducting annual rechecks for all applicable employees.
- Collaborate with the HR team to present a unified approach to policies and procedures.

Ideal Candidate Qualifications:
The successful candidate will have a proven track record in recruiting, with 3-5 years of relevant experience, including at least 3 years in a recruitment role within a dynamic, growing organization. A two-year degree or equivalent experience is preferred but not required.

- Must be 21 years old with a valid driver’s license.
- Strong background in strategic recruitment with the drive and initiative to fill positions efficiently.
- Proven ability to manage all aspects of recruitment, including planning, implementing, and hiring at all levels.
- Demonstrated commitment to exceptional customer service, with a diplomatic and tactful communication style.
- Clear and effective communication skills, both verbally and in writing.
- Strong organizational, planning, and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.

- Proficiency in HRIS, Internet, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and within a team.
