Job Title: Functional Analyst
Assignment Type: 12-Month Contract (Potential to Extend)
Location: Charlotte, NC (Onsite 2-3 Days per Week)
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide system analysis, configuration, QA, and support for enterprise-level time and attendance applications.
- Collaborate with business team members, developers, and end users to identify business needs and interpret them as application requirements.
- Configure complex business pay and entitlement rules in the application, ensuring compliance with state and federal labor laws (overtime, vacation, guarantee, grace pay, etc.).
- Assist the business in creating, testing, and implementing feature enhancements for web-based time and attendance/payroll applications.
- Provide second-level support for system issues.
- Draft detailed requirements and specifications documentation, complete signoff processes, and validate deliverables against specifications.
- Act as a primary liaison between business stakeholders and developers.
- Write and execute functional test scripts and coordinate system integration testing with other analysts.
- Develop an in-depth understanding of Compass's business operations and facilitate initiatives across multiple user groups.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor's degree required.
- Experience: Minimum 9 years of experience in a functional analysis role, preferably with a time and attendance system.

Special Skills Desired:
- Experience configuring time and attendance systems with complex pay rules.
- Familiarity with formal Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) methodologies.
- Experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment.
- Formal training or certification in Business Analysis and group facilitation.
- Proficiency in SQL queries.
