Day in the Life:
The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining our financial records, including purchases, sales, receipts, and payments. They will work closely with the executive leadership team to create and analyze financial reports and ensure legal requirements compliance.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of financial transactions, including purchases, sales, receipts, and payments.
- Record and categorize all financial transactions in the accounting system and ensure all transactions are accurately recorded and balanced.
- Process and manage accounts payable and receivable.
- Generate and review financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
- Reconcile bank and credit card statements.
- Prepare tax returns and ensure compliance with tax regulations.
- Assist with budget preparation and forecasting.
- Monitor showroom, inventory and manage fixed assets.
- Communicate with vendors, clients, and customers regarding financial transactions and resolve any discrepancies.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a bookkeeper or accountant.
- Familiarity with accounting software such as QuickBooks or Xero.
- Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and financial reporting standards.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school or equivalent with 3 years of Bookkeeping experience.
Compensation:
- $50,000 - $55,000 annually (DOQ)
- Monday through Friday- Day shift
