Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinating daily schedules with the service dispatcher to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Diagnosing causes of generator problems and/or failures, utilizing technical knowledge and experience to resolve issues.
- Communicating with inside staff regarding the status of work orders, providing regular updates on task progress.
- Performing routine and planned maintenance as scheduled, adhering to manufacturer guidelines and company protocols.
- Preparing paperwork for requesting parts needed to repair generator systems, accurately documenting required materials.
- Participating in ON-CALL rotation, responding to emergency service calls after hours and weekends.
- Relaying customer information to the office, assisting fellow technicians as needed to ensure seamless communication.
- Staying up to date on service bulletins, applying new knowledge to improve generator performance and reduce downtime.
- Maintaining Service Training Certifications, enhancing technical skills and expertise.
- A documented clean driving record, enabling safe transportation to job sites.
- Proficiency with Microsoft-based products, including software and hardware applications.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States, meeting all necessary immigration requirements.
- High School Diploma (vocational or GED), demonstrating basic education requirements.
- EGSA certification is a plus, but not required, showcasing specialized knowledge.
- Military experience is a plus, but not required (MOS: Army 91D, Marines 1142), highlighting transferable skills.
- Accredited generator courses are a plus, but not required, further demonstrating expertise.
- Experience should include a background in electrical and/or diesel engines, field technician experience in HAVC, automotive, generator, or similar, emphasizing relevant industry exposure.
- Ability to withstand climate fluctuations and sustain working in cold, hot, humid, and windy environmental conditions associated with working outside and indoors with generator machinery.
- Ability to frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds, meeting physical demands of the job.
- Ability to operate a motor vehicle safely and efficiently, adhering to traffic laws and regulations.
