Analyzer Technologist
Scope of Work
- Maintain lab safety, housekeeping, and security.
- Understand liquid and gas sampling systems.
- Perform routine maintenance of online and offline analyzers and sample valves.
- Troubleshoot, identify, isolate, and repair gas sampling systems, sample valves, and other components of analytical equipment.
- Prepare liquid calibration standards. Perform calibration, SQC for data accuracy to ensure proper compliance with guidelines.
- Maintain DIAMS requirements relating to data generation.
- Detailed record keeping and update P&IDs drawings as necessary.
- Good skills in safe handling of many types of hydrocarbons.
- Upkeep inventory.
- Job requirements / Skills Knowledge of Lab analyzers, including Agilent GC and GC MassSpec.
- Knowledge of Process analyzers, including Valmet Maxxum II GC, Oxymat 6, Thermo Mass Spec, Extrel Mass Spec.
- Effective oral and written communications.
- Must be able to work with minimal supervision while following safe work practices at all the time.
- Able to work with others in a team environment.
