Location: 100% ONSITE - Morristown, Tennessee
Duration: Contract to Hire

Job Summary:
The Controls Engineer will be responsible for coordinating key process improvements and new product initiatives for the Morristown, TN facility.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (Other duties may be assigned)
- Designs, programs, and aids in troubleshooting PLCs and HMIs for a wide variety of manufacturing production equipment.
- Manages the specification, development, installation, and validation of Automation projects within budgetary and corporate guidelines.
- Participate in sourcing and cost-justification of various tools, machinery, and equipment for recommended manufacturing methods.
- Develops manufacturing processes by designing and modifying equipment for building and assembling electrical components.
- Participates in the creation and maintenance of PFMEA’s, Control Plans, Flow Diagrams and APQP.
- Assists in Lean Manufacturing implementation and applies techniques such as Value Stream Mapping, PIE events, Visual Management, Standard Work, Lost Time Analysis, etc.
- Justifies, prepares, and manages capital projects and assists with capital budgeting.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Robotic programming and integration experience.
- Control Logic and Ladder Logic experience.
- Excellent understanding of Allen Bradley HMIs and Siemens PLC’s.
- Demonstrated plant electrical engineering experience
- Schematics development
- Strong technical skills and experience or aptitude in process automation.
- Familiarity with Fanuc Robotics (PREFERRED)
- Creo 3D Modeling experience.(PREFERRED)
- Ignition, SQL, and Python programming. (PREFERRED)
- Hot, Warm or Cold forging experience. (PREFERRED)
