Job Summary
We seek an experienced QC Laboratory Manager to oversee QC lab operations. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, excellent communication abilities, and a thorough understanding of pharmaceutical regulations and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage team schedules and workload to meet deadlines.
- Promote a culture of quality and regulatory compliance in the laboratory.
- Manage lab equipment: calibration, maintenance, and qualification.
- Maintain inventory of lab consumables and supplies to ensure seamless workflow.
- Oversee sample receipt, handling, and analysis.
- Develop and implement quality control procedures to ensure test accuracy and consistency.
- Maintain QC programs (stability, environmental monitoring, vendor qualifications, water testing, hazardous waste, preventive maintenance, data trending).
- Monitor QC data for trends and issues; Investigate and document out-of-specification results, deviations, and non-conformances.
The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all quality-related activities are performed in accordance with established policies and procedures.
Requirements
To be considered for this position, applicants must possess:
- Bachelor's degree in chemistry or related field.
- Pharmaceutical QC lab experience, preferably in a leadership role.
- Thorough understanding of pharmaceutical regulations and quality standards.
- Knowledge of microbiological methodologies and experienced with analytical instruments (HPLC, FTIR, UV-Vis, etc.). Skilled in data analysis and interpretation.
- Strong knowledge of lab safety protocols and regulatory compliance.
- Proficient in writing technical documents, protocols, reports, and procedures.
- Capable of managing multiple projects with tight deadlines and effective time management.
