QC Laboratory Manager
We are a growing, regulated manufacturing company producing over-the-counter (OTC) pharmaceuticals, homeopathic remedies, and medical device components.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead, train, mentor, and supervise a team of lab technologists
- Manage team schedules and workload to meet deadlines
- Promote a culture of quality and regulatory compliance in the laboratory
- Manage lab equipment: calibration, maintenance, and qualification
- Maintain inventory of lab consumables and supplies to ensure seamless workflow
- Oversee sample receipt, handling, and analysis
- Develop and implement quality control procedures to ensure test accuracy and consistency
- Maintain QC programs (stability, environmental monitoring, vendor qualifications, water testing, hazardous waste, preventive maintenance, data trending)
The ideal candidate will have a thorough understanding of pharmaceutical regulations and quality standards. They should be knowledgeable about microbiological methodologies and experienced with analytical instruments (HPLC, FTIR, UV-Vis, etc.). Additionally, they should possess strong knowledge of lab safety protocols and regulatory compliance.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in chemistry or related field
- Pharmaceutical QC lab experience, preferably in a leadership role
- Knowledge of data analysis and interpretation
- Proficient in writing technical documents, protocols, reports, and procedures
- Capable of managing multiple projects with tight deadlines and effective time management
This is a Monday – Friday, 8:00 – 4:30 position that offers health/dental/vision insurance, 401K, vacation/PTO/holiday pay.
