Quality Assurance Specialist

Key Responsibilities :

As the Quality Lead , you’ll play a pivotal role in overseeing and managing a dedicated team of Quality Technicians to ensure that our products meet the highest standards of quality, food safety, and regulatory compliance.

Your responsibilities will include :

1. Interim Management of Quality Technicians

  • Lead and manage a team of Quality Technicians to ensure product conformity with customer, company, and regulatory standards. Supervise work schedules, timecard approvals, job assignments, training, and employee time off.
  • 2. Internal Audits and Corrective Actions

  • Actively participate in internal audits to pinpoint areas of non-conformance.
  • Drive the implementation of corrective actions, ensuring timely resolution of issues.
  • Track corrective actions and maintain records for compliance.
  • 3. Food Safety and Quality Issue Management

  • Take immediate action to resolve food safety and quality issues, minimizing impact on production. Communicate food safety and QA concerns to senior management as necessary.
  • 4. Sample Collection and Quality Programs

  • Oversee the collection and submission of product samples, ensuring they meet quality control standards. Ensure accurate recording of test results and sample status.
  • 5. Quality Improvement Activities

  • Partner with production shift leaders to drive quality and consistency. Conduct root cause analysis on holds and complaints, implementing corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
  • 6. Compliance Reporting

  • Maintain detailed records of quality control activities.
  • Prepare and submit reports on food safety, quality issues, corrective actions, and ongoing quality improvement initiatives.
  • Requirements :

  • Proven experience in a quality control or quality assurance role, ideally within a food manufacturing or similar regulated environment.
  • Better Process Control Aseptic Certification, required
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities, particularly in food safety and quality control issues.
  • Ability to conduct audits and implement corrective actions.
  • Familiarity with compliance reporting and quality improvement processes.
