We are looking for a skilled Food Safety and Quality Specialist to join our team at Kelly Science, Engineering, Technology & Telecom.
About the Role
The Food Safety and Quality Specialist will be responsible for ensuring the quality of our products by establishing, maintaining, planning, directing, and coordinating programs, procedures, and processes required for manufacturing food ingredients in compliance with local, state, and national regulatory agencies. This role ensures product safety and quality to meet specific customer requirements and company standards and supports operations in producing safe and high-quality products.
Main Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement methods and procedures for disposition of aged and non-conforming materials.
- Review and approval of all investigations related to out-of-specification results, non-conforming material reviews, and significant batch deviations.
- Facilitate Supplier Approval Program for raw materials and direct contact packaging with responsibility for facility risk assessment and approval of each material.
- Responsible for the development, implementation and maintenance of the Food Safety System and Quality Plan.
This role requires strong leadership skills and the ability to work independently and manage the workload effectively. The successful candidate will also have excellent communication and organizational skills.
