POSITION PURPOSE
Responsible for daily processing and balancing of incoming and outgoing wires for the Credit Union: this includes wires requested by the membership as well as corporate wires related to activities in other departments such as the Accounting and Mortgage Departments. Answers phone calls to their individual extension as well as to the department's group line assisting other employees with questions. Assists other Payment Systems team members as requested for other duties as assigned.
Note: This is not a remote position.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & BASIC DUTIES
- Maintains electronic files of appropriate wire related items.
- Creates or maintains appropriate reports according to Credit Union procedures and regulations.
- Daily files for incoming and outgoing wires to or from the Federal Reserve Bank.
- Documents wire activity on appropriate internal forms to assist in balancing the Federal Reserve Bank account.
- Monitors for fraud or other activity that may result in a loss to the member or to the Credit Union.
- Accurately creates wires in the system based on the instructions given on wire request forms or other documents provided by the wire requester.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education/Certification:
High School Graduate or equivalent.
Required Knowledge:
General knowledge of related banking activities.
Experience Required:
One month to twelve months of similar or related experience.
Typing or keyboarding experience required.
Microsoft Excel experience required.
Previous Credit Union experience preferred.
Skills/Abilities:
Excellent typing skills.
Attentive to detail and accurate.
Well organized.
Cooperative and willing to assist others.
Ability to use computer applications, adding machines, and telephones.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
