JOB TITLE: Painter
DEPARTMENT: Paint
REPORTS TO: Production Supervisor
SUMMARY:
Cleaning and applying primer and paint to parts as specified by travelers and drawings
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Cleaning and preparing parts for paint
- Reading travelers and drawings to determine correct materials to be used
- Recording paint mixes
- Mixing and applying primer and paint evenly per specifications
- Packaging parts
- Taping parts that are painted with more than one color
- Regularly cleaning paint guns and work space as required
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
· This job has no supervisory responsibilities.
QUALIFICATIONS:
· High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
· Effective communication skills
· Punctual and reliable
· Attention to detail
· Familiarity with paint gun
· 3-5 years paint experience
· Able to work independently or with other individuals
· Able to lift up to 50 lbs

- The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance or stoop; kneel, crouch, or crawl.
- The employee is regularly required to lift up to 25 lbs.
- The employee is frequently required to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Must be able to safely tolerate heat in the summer and cold in the winter.
